Unit 2: Pre-Assessment

Thsi artifact on the left displays a sample copy of the Pre-Assessment that I administered to my Biology at the beginning of Unit 2 on Cell Structure and Function.  The purpose of giving this Pre-Assessment is to allow me determine my students' prior knowledge about the topic or subject to be taught so that I can adjust my lessons accordingly to accommodate remedial considerations or measures.

Evaluation is one of the 5E's of an effective instructional practice.  This is an example of a quiz on cell structure and function administered to my Biology students. The quiz was designed to test not only the students' comprehension level, but also their ability to synthesize ideas based on concepts presented in the lessons.
